No Valley View Sewer District customers are inside the flood areas identified by King County. In addition, based on discussions with the City of Tukwila and King County Metro, Valley View residents and businesses are not at risk of sewer backups due to possible flooding in the Green River Valley.

Valley View does not encourage the installation of sewer backflow devices or the purchase of flood insurance, by District customers, in response to possible Green River Valley Flooding. Once again, based on information from King County and Tukwila, the District does not believe that its residents are at risk of flooding or sewage backups related to possible flooding in the Green River Valley. 

If you do want to install a sewer backflow device the District recommends that you contact a contractor from the Districts small works roster for a bid. A $15.00 modification permit is required. It may be possible for you to finance the cost of installation with the District. Contact the office for more information on financing or go to financing connections.
