Valley View Sewer District bills customers with Installment and/or Side Sewer Contracts
on an annual basis. The property owner is legally responsible for all charges on
this bill. Per contract the charges must be paid in full at the time of sale of
the property. The due date applies to current charges only. Any unpaid previous
balance is subject to a 10% interest penalty. All charges must be paid by 5:00 p.m.
on the due date shown on the statement. A returned check fee of $20.00 shall be
assessed on returned checks by the bank.
The customers who would like to take advantage of financing the connection fees
through an Installment Contract would need to follow this step.
- Pay 10% down and sign a contract with the District in which you agree to repay the
specified loan amount to the District in annual installments for 15 years at 8%
interest.
In 1999, Valley View Sewer District passed a resolution to allow financing of side
sewer repair and construction. Customers who would like to take advantage of this
financing would need to follow these steps.
- Select a contractor and bring a copy of the bid proposal to the District office.
(We recommend getting three bids for comparison.)
- Pay 10% down and sign a contract with the District in which you agree to repay the
specified loan amount to the District in annual installments for 15 years at 8%
interest.
- After the work has been completed and inspected, a Certificate of Completion will
need to be signed by the property owner, the contractor and the District inspector.
- The District will then voucher for payment to the contractor that will also require
the property owner's signature to release.
