Why Different Rates in the Same District?
Good question. The answer is that the Valley View Sewer District discharges into three different sewage treatment agencies: Metro King County, Midway Sewer District, and Southwest Suburban Sewer District. All three of these agencies charge different amounts for sewage treatment. Sewage treatment rates are the largest part of your monthly rates.
The location of your residence or business within the District determines which sewage treatment facility your sewage will be discharged to. Your rates are partly determined by the different treatment rates charged to the District by the three treatment providers.
The following table shows the current year monthly charges as well as the past years monthly charges for Valley View Sewer District customers. This table is updated on a yearly basis.
